RHYS GRIFFITHS LATE SHOW PUTS REDS INTO NEXT ROUND PDF Print E-mail
A Rhys Griffiths hat trick was enough to put the Reds into the last 16 of the Welsh Cup as they beat local rivals Carmarthen Town, 3 1 at Stebonheath Park on Friday night. The Reds left it late though with Rhys' last two goals coming in the 85 and 92nd minute. Griffiths had put the Reds in front after just 14 minutes of the first half but after that they couldn't add to the score and Tim Hicks brought Carmarthen level after 66 minutes. After that, the game could have gone either way before the Griffiths double won the day!
