REDS WIN AT BRYNTIRION PDF Print E-mail
BRYNTIRION ATHLETIC 1   LLANELLI 2
The Reds continued their pre-season preparations with a narrow win over Welsh League opponents, Bryntirion, courtesy of goals by Wyn Thomas and Jordan Follows.
They did not have things all their own way and were pushed hard by their opponents, with Craig  Richards the busier of the two keepers.
However, Thomas broke the deadlock on 33 minutes, heading home an Antonio Corbisiero corner, while Follows doubled the advantage eleven minutes from time, seizing on a misplaced pass to find the back of the net.
Bryntirion pulled one back on the stroke of ninety minutes with a header from a corner, but with five players missing either through injury or unavailability, this was another useful workout for the Reds.
Following their trip to Tamworth on Saturday, they play their final friendly at Goytre United next Tuesday with a 7 p.m. kick off.
At Stebonheath on Saturday, the under 19 side entertain their counterparts from the Bristol Rovers Academy, kick off 12 p.m.
